Chris & Sue Mulhare have been a part of, or closely associated, with New Hope church in Toowoomba since 1988. Starting as Intern Pastors, then moving to Crows Nest as Senior Pastors of what is now New Hope Crows Nest and returning to lead Toowoomba in 2001. Their focus is reaching communities with the hope of Jesus in a real, relatable and relevant way.
They are passionate about empowering people to impact and influence their world and raising leaders through intentional, relational discipleship.
Chris and Sue are both dynamic, down to earth communicators who will challenge you to make every day count.
Chris is passionate about equipping people to be effective disciples in their everyday environments, building strong relationships and seeing the church engage the community in practical ways that meet need and demonstrate the love of Jesus. Chris loves the Aussie bush, playing his guitar, restoring old cars, and is an occasional artist.
Sue is passionate about living life to the full, cheering people on to their best life and loving Jesus. She loves all things creative, is the cheer squad leader for the next generation and determined to live grateful for every moment!
Chris and Sue married in 1990 and have three children and a daughter in law: Levi and his wife Talitha, Bethany and Reuben. Chris and Sue are also proud grandparents of River Rose and Zeke.
